Some artists produce images using canvas and paint. Some use charcoal. Lawrence Conyers, better known as Anson Photography, is noted for the art he produces using a camera and especially his unique style of HDR work ("Stepmother's Kitchen" is a good example), used extensively in the book “A Tapestry of Time” and by English Heritage.
Exhibited throughout the North East, Lawrence has life-long connection with the arts and media, is a published author and an established photographer and award-winning corporate film-maker.
Anson Fine Art is a unique collection of digital media, often pseudo-gothic and frequently dark or fairytale in style. Would Da Vinci have produced the Mona Lisa with oils and wood if digital imaging been available to him?
“I like to blur the distinction between Art and Photography. It’s often hard to tell when one of my pictures is an oil painting, a watercolour, a sketch, or a photograph – or a mix of all of those”
The specialised skills used in creating these Fine Art images are also applied to stunning effect for corporate and private clients on a commission basis. If you'd like to find out more, contact Anson Fine Art.
“The Lady Of The Lake” features international model Aimee Dodgeson who Lawrence was lucky enough to shoot with in 2009. “That kind of opportunity doesn’t come around very often”.
The “Dragon Lady” trio of gothic portraits (“Dragon Lady Mask”, “Dragon Lady Faded Glory” and “Dragon Lady Lost Love”) are so called as they originated as HDR photography shot at a secret location near Darlington – the origin of a number of dragon stories including The Lambton Worm and the George & The Dragon legends.
