Angelo Arrigo
A true "citizen of the World", Italian born (1967) Angelo has lived in Italy, Germany, Finland, Sweden, France, Denmark, Belgium, England, Brazil, and (3 years, 2002-2005) Guernsey, where he determined to contribute for making such values as peace, culture and education, spreading all over the world by means of his timeless images of his art works.
Since Angelo’s first stunning collection was launched later in 2004, he has taken the art world by storm and his innovative, emotional/impressive images have achieved the enviable status of genuine collector’s items.
Angelo Arrigo® exploded onto the international scene two years ago, and has since captivated an entire generation of art lovers. His phenomenal original paintings have become some of the most sought after pieces on the contemporary art market.are already well-known over some European art contexts, also present on university books dealing with international history of art and design, art-
gallery hotels, etc..
His well known painting “L’uomo e il karma”(=Humankind/Mankind and its/his Karma) enjoys a huge following worldwide. It became his brand, together with the concept “the completeness of the Incomplete®”. “L’uomo e il Karma” has established him firmly at the forefront of the fine art community.
His innovative style such as in “Ombre”(=Shadows) has made an exceptional impact on the international market over the last year.
As Angelo Arrigo’s main interest is focused on building bridges of dialogue, he doesn’t generally like the narrow mentality, within which, unfortunately, the galleries are very often forced to act out of their own particular business interest only. Instead, as “citizen of the world”, his constant thought is for people of whatever kind, age, gender, place, believes, culture, uses, in order to make his artworks working as ideal context where two and more human beings could develop bridges of sincere and passionate dialogue, through sharing such emotions provoked by his fine art paintings.
On the contrary, the art galleries are usually too far from such a context, because of they are the slave of the logic of the fine art sector/market, and of other interests too. Such things are very distant from the kind of relationships and people/“citizens of the world” which Angelo Arrigo® is focused on. His aim is to make emotions (originated from his artworks) flow heart by heart.

WAY OF THINKING – VALUES - VISION
I choose painting and visual art as means of expression and communication.
I always paint with the aim to offer -even (though) it will only last one instant-, vital energy, a slice of harmony, a new perspective of life. However, by means of my fine art paintings, I like to create opportunities/contexts where people could strengthen their own life-condition and feel themselves stimulated to undertaking dialogue.
In fact my commitment is focused on building bridges of dialogues between people, in order to spreading the values of peace, education & culture all over the world, through using the amazing pathway of art, in all its forms/ways, as unifying power.
Communication through art & design by means of my fine art works, visual art projects, etc, is a breathtaking experience. My idea is to make art’s culture, spreading all over the world, as means of launching fresh bridges of sincere & genuine dialogue between people of whatever kind, age, place, believes, culture, uses, in order to eliminate the use of wars, violations of human rights, lack of sincere respect & appreciation each other.
As regards the unifying power of Art
I find it fascinating and enlightening, the following passage in the speech June 14 1989 from President Daisaku Ikeda at the Academy of Fine Arts of the Institut de France Paris (the following is just my free translation from the original content):
"In each of the many forms of art can be seen the symbol of ultimate reality. The creation of a work of art is reflected by space limitations, but it is this same process that the soul of the artist searches for union with ultimate reality, what could be called .
A true work of art itself is , formed by the merger dynamics between the self (the microcosm) and universe (the macrocosm).
Art is for the spirit what is the nourishment for our body, we join, through art, a transcendental entity, and we breathe with its pace and assimilate the energy necessary for our spiritual renewal. Art also fulfills the function of purification of our inner selves, in order to raise spiritually, what Aristotle called catharsis. What is that quality, inherent to it, which has ruled the central role in human life? I think it is its unifying power, which reveals the intimate connection between things. In an early scene of Goethe's Faust, the protagonist says ecstatic: . If we take this statement on the interrelationship between living things, art becomes the fundamental way through which human beings find their links with their fellows, with nature and the universe.
A jewel of art, (taking any form - poetry, painting or music-), through its becoming reality, can arouse in us an ineffable impulse that rises up to the empyrean, and allows us to share the experience with others.
“The unifying power of Art effects the human beings at the same instant in which it allows finite to become infinite as well as it allows the specific of the contingent experience to get (put on) an universal meaning”.

Style & Methods of painting
My style of painting does not take aim at technically perfect works; instead, I focus myself on the potential impact able to provoke ….. even a simple pleasant feeling of relief, that I wish to deliver/offer to all of you, enjoying my fine art works, visual art projects, etc…. Actually my style finds is roots into an unforgettable event in my life. In fact it was on june 1, 1994 at the auditorium ”Alma Mater” of the University of Bologna, Italy, when SGI President, Daisaku Ikeda, delivered his speech titled “Leonardo’s Universal Vision and the Parliament of Humanity: Thoughts on the Future of the United Nations.”, where I have had the honour of being present at the conference as well as the moment when the Rector Fabio Roversi Monaco conferred the special ring of a doctorate from the University of Bologna.
Ever since I decided to take as example for the development of my personal life, right this innovative portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, delivered from Daisaku Ikeda.
I think I could describe the style used by me as a continuous flight of my sudden inspirations.
I often leave un-painstaking spaces, and intentionally, I leave out the technical preciseness and many details. I prefer incomplete or empty strokes, without any colour. Alternatively, I create objects/images in the shade, or anyway, they are shrouded in some context which is either too dark, too clear, too faded, or even too dirty, etc…
I do so, in order to leave the viewer free to imagine, dream and interpret my artworks, being inspired by the incomplete. I have a predilection for the idea of reaching the completeness through incomplete strokes of painting. I always refuse the idea to trap our perception of things into a finite and predictable pictorial composition. I am always stimulated from the desire to astonish harmoniously.
Even now, I am intentionally avoiding any sort of definition or explanation of details, right (in order)to not lose such characteristic.
It doesn’t depend on either the mastery or the technique, instead it comes from which life-condition the artist is experiencing while he/she is creating his /her artwork.
How much egoism/egocentrism/anger/hypocrisy/insincerity/avidity/narrow-mindedness. . ., or how much altruism/joy/sincerity/broadmindedness/humanitarian vision/ etc…, is there in the artist’s feeling?
