Biografie
Koen Haarbosch, een hedendaagse Nederlandse kunstenaar, benadert zijn vak met een speelse en ongeremde geest. Voor hem is creëren synoniem met spelen, een proces dat niet wordt gehinderd door overdenken, waardoor zijn creativiteit vrijelijk kan stromen.
Met een visie om de wereld met vreugde en kinderlijke verwondering opnieuw vorm te geven, weerspiegelt de levendige en speelse kunst van Haarbosch invloeden uit verschillende bronnen. Graffiti, cartoons, strips, pop-art en urban street art dragen allemaal bij aan het dynamische tapijt van zijn werk. Daarnaast laat hij zich inspireren door gewaardeerde kunstenaars als Paul Klee, Joan Miro, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Jon Burgerman en de kunstbeweging CoBra.
Muziek speelt een centrale rol in het creatieve proces van Haarbosch en dient zowel als inspiratie als metgezel. Van de ritmische beats van hiphop uit de jaren 80 en funk uit de jaren 70 in de ochtend tot de energieke tunes van techno en old school rave tijdens intense kunstsessies: muziek doordrenkt zijn werk met een aanstekelijke energie en ritme.
Via zijn kunst nodigt Koen Haarbosch kijkers uit om de eigenzinnigheid en spontaniteit van de schepping te omarmen, waardoor een gevoel van vreugde en verwondering in de wereld om hen heen ontstaat. Met elke penseelstreek en kleuraccent nodigt hij het publiek uit om met hem mee te gaan op een reis van verkenning en ontdekking, waar creativiteit geen grenzen kent.

In the center of my hometown of Gilze, I can use two empty new-build retail properties as a shop window as long as they are not rented out. A great opportunity for me to show my native village what I do these days. This Popup Expo can be seen day and night from the public road.
