Elena Afanasieva

My name is Elena Afanasieva. I'm a professional full-time artist. I have my own art studio in Irkutsk, Siberia Russia. My paintings are in private collections in Russia, the USA, Germany, Austria, Montenegro. I love colors like air and consider it is the 5th element. In my artworks, I strive to convey the inner strength, energy, and pressure of the image through the energy of color. This helps me to create plastic images filled with universal human content. Whatever the topic of the artwork is, I let it pass through me.

Inspiration for me is my life, moments, sunrises, nature, music, the sea. People like to watch the ocean, the sea, and everything connected with them, it gives peace. Therefore, some of my paintings are created in the marine theme. I like to work with oil and acrylic mainly on canvas and cardboard.
