The artist painted this picture from June to August 2022. This is a rather large work, created on a coarse-grained "Repin canvas". It depicts the Ilim tract as seen from the river. Here, at the beginning of the 20th century, there was a large Ural village, the history of which can be traced almost from the 18th century. In 1939, a fire broke out in it, from which it never recovered, and by the 70s it was abandoned by its last inhabitants. In memory of the village, there is a small chapel on the shore. This place also attracts treasure hunters.

Alexey Beregovoy was born  in Perm region of Russia. 

From 2008 to 2012 he studied at St. Petersburg State University.

 He dropped out of the university at 2012, to start exploring several occupations. Ghost-writer, antique books dealer, and book restorer are some of them.

Alexey Beregovoy started painting and drawing in 2013. He started oil painting in 2014. 

From 2016 to 2018 the artist created about 70 paintings in a naive or expressionist paintings. 

In 2019-2020 the author was going through the collapse and demolition of the former style to eventually create modern one.

In 2021, he returned to productive work. In 2022-2024, the artist created more than 60 oil paintings, and has been actively painting to date.
