It feels compelling, isn't it?
So the next time you go out, subconsciously looking to recreate this idyllic vision, you order an amazing cocktail.
But before you even taste it to see if you enjoy it or not - you snap a picture, apply some filters, add a song and post it on Instagram. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you even get some views before you've got the chance to try the cocktail.
This got me thinking: we've given so much power to the products we consume and pictures we share on social media that it's as if we've empowered these objects (clothes, food, cocktails and others) to represent and define us.
We need a constant confirmation of our worthiness, proof of our existence and recognition of our dos.
It's like in our modern society, we're nothing without objects to display online or offline that is.
And a cocktail that has never been shot and posted - is like a cocktail that has never been tasted.
Aleksandra – ASupernova Studio
Born in Bulgaria – Lives and works in France.
Trained in fashion design and fine arts, Aleksandra founded ASupernova Studio as a response to a society in constant overproduction. Her art, blending realism and conceptual depth, explores social pressure, overconsumption, and identities shaped by images to reflect on the spirit of the time we live in.
With a background in fashion design and fine arts, she experienced the industry’s obsession with surface first-hand. This led her to shift toward a more conscious creative path. Each canvas becomes a mirror of our times – a space for reflection on the objects we own, the images we share, and the personas we present. What are we really choosing to surround ourselves with?
Inspired by everyday life, social media, and aspirational objects, she paints familiar scenes – cocktails, objects and locus - not for decoration, but as symbols of a society that often chooses illusion over presence.
Her work, exhibited both in France and internationally, including Belgium and Switzerland, resonates with those drawn to visual beauty as well as those in search of meaning. In a noisy world, ASupernova Studio offers space to reconnect- with art, with meaning, and with yourself.
