Après avoir été photographe professionnel, dans la photographie scientifique, notamment dans la biologie océanographique, l’archéologie, en Iran et en Israël, pour le CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) et dans la photographie de sport, Alain Rempfer s’est entièrement consacré à ses travaux personnels. Au fil du temps il s’est attaché à traiter différents thèmes parfois pendant plusieurs années pour certains d’entre eux. Parmi ces thèmes : Amoureux de l’art, Villages enluminés, Ruelles, Miroirs et réflections, Pêcheurs, Cercles, Cadres, Passé recomposé, Riviera revisitée.

Alain Rempfer vit et travaille en France. Il a obtenu un diplome en Photographier et une Maîtrise de Philosophie à l’Université Paul Valery à Montpellier (France). Son travail est présent dans de nombreuses collections privés.
