In the eye of the storm (2021) Malarstwo autorstwa Adel Fahmi

My name is Adel. I was born in June 1952 in a small town in Egypt. I was drawing since i was 5 years old. I used to copy pictures from photos or make portraits of my teachers and friends. My father didn't want me to make an art career instead he made me study as a dentist. I left Egypt in 1976 to Belgium where i lived and work as a dentist till now. 30 years ago I went to the academy of art in Brugge Belgium for four years. I learned how to draw and paint figures from life models. My technique and skills as an artist has developed and I learned to see things in a different way. I practiced painting with different medias like oil,acrylic,pastels and water colours. As well as making drawings with graphite and charcoal. I made many pastels paintings in different subjects like portrait, dogs, cats,animals, still life and landscapes. Now since few months I started to experiment with abstract using acrylic as a medium for its cleaner,odourless, and quick drying ability. I paint mainly on canvas sized 115×75 cm..I also have a channel on YouTube called good old art where I have nearly 100 videos tutorial showing beginners artists how to paint with pastel handling many subjects like portrait, pets,animals, landscapes and still life. Now I am busy on building my art majeur website where I will put most of my work.
