The subject matter of Memory Webb's Southern Folk Art includes old barns, houses,churches lighthouses, swamps, animals & folk art of her beloved Mississippi. Her art will be displayed and for sale for the public through May 17,2007 through May 20, 2007. You can find her Art Booth displayed between Meridian and Russell ,at the beginning, of the 502 mile festive roadside sale that will be held on US11 from Meridian,through Birmingham,Alabama, and towns in Dade County,Georgia, then Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Knoxville, Tennessee, and on to Bristol,Virginia. The event to be Known as "US 11 Antique Alley", is a 4 day "Happenin".
ABOUT THE ARTIST: MEMORY WEBB is a genuine Mississippian by birth & a life- long resident of Mississippi. Her southern folk art compositions reflect ( sometimes humorously, sometimes dramatically) the southern heritage of the great life and sometimes hardships of an individual that might live in the south. Memory Webb is a self- taught artist, truly displays her talents giving a touch of her own style of folk art, spending most of her time talking to older people learning the way life was in the south years ago, reading to perfect her skills and her own style as an artist, and photographing her region capturing the true essence of her beloved south.
