Liam Ryan is a contemporary Irish artist based in the UK. Ryan primarily uses pastel, acrylic, or a combination of both media to portray the feminine form. He prefers to leave the work unfinished in the middle, where the story is yet untold. His figurative feminine paintings are in private and corporate collections all around the world.

Liam Ryan was born in 1963, in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up just outside of Detroit, Michigan, USA, where he studied art at Ferris State University in Michigan. When exhibiting, Ryan typically hires venues to display his most recent pieces. He has done so in Birmingham, Dublin and New York.
