Born and brought up amid the more muted tones of London, I now live in Vence in the south of France, enjoying its famously vivid light. I am a watercolourist inspired by travel and the glories of the natural world. My work is figurative and depends on careful observation and choice of colours. In watercolour I am mostly self-taught, but my style developed through the tuition I received at school over seven years. I won a scholarship to study art at Charterhouse school where I learnt to draw architecture and paint landscapes, both of which feature in my work today. My works are owned by private collectors in the USA and Europe.
