I keep the image flat, with no perspective, no shades. I believe it lets emotions flow unhindered.

I draw my inspiration primarily from beautiful views and from music.

Beauty comes from seeing nature. I am inspired by the sky, the sea, the line of the horizon, by the dusks and dawns, by the curves of the mountains and of the female body. I generalize images, often reducing them to geometric shapes. I trust that the viewer recognizes them subconsciously, reading off their meanings and reconstructing the original picture in his imagination. I adore Old Masters. I develop my ideas from classics of abstraction: Poliakoff, Nicolas de Stael, Rothko. Nature keeps my colors pure and my shapes clear. My pictures come from nature – my only teacher.

I do all my paintings on stretched gallery canvas. Once unwrapped, there is no need to frame because the edges of all my artworks are painted.

My paintings are securely packaged to make sure they reach you safely. All my pictures are ready to hang, wired with a steel cord. In fact, I provided hanging cords on three sides of the picture because you may wish to hang it upside down or on the side – abstraction is benign to orientation change. The picture comes with a certificate of authenticity. I sign my artworks on the back, to avoid unbalancing the subtle composition by an artifact like a signature.
