❤ Idea
I like everything bright and beautiful. I have a craving for decorativeness and the use of ornaments and ruddy full of life faces in my paintings. In this artwork, I have combined male nude and decorative floral patterns.
My painting was inspired by Russian fairy tales and the image of the Russian Ivan.
Ivan can be called a real hero of all Russian folk tales. This is not just a handsome, brave and skillful young man - he is a man who wins in any circumstance. This is a folkloric superhero.
In the ancient epic of any nation, there is a hero who can be entrusted with a difficult mission to save someone's life. In Russian folklore, this is Ivan.
Ivan always gets the most beautiful girls. He is the James Bond from a fairy tale.
I look at him and I love and want him. I use the male nude to express erotic feelings. I am trying to explore the slippage of masculinity and redefine what it means to be male.
Of course, I wanted to add eroticism and imagine how Ivan might look now. In my opinion, this hero wins not only in a fight with the enemy but also in love bed games.
