Fouschy (Valérie Descat), self-taught painter, comes from Biganos, a small village in the Arcachon Basin. His first source of inspiration came from the exotic landscapes of Africa. Following a trip to Brazil in 2006, his naive and colorful expression was confirmed. After her encounter with Vesuvius in Naples in 2013, she presented a series of paintings on the volcano which marked an allegorical turning point in her painting. If Nature is always at the heart of his pictorial commitment, we will also note the presence of the emblematic pinnace of the Arcachon Bay, humanized with tenderness and humor. Fouschy's works advocate for a gentle and benevolent look at all the forms of life that surround us, and for an awareness of the importance of Nature so often sacrificed.
