Born in Colombia, Femu's growth was accompanied by a deep dedication to art, instilled from his childhood by his older brother, who greatly influences his admiration for the natural and cultural wealth present in the Colombian Pacific. From his beginnings, through his works, he represents daily life wrapped in the peaceful and magical Baudó river, among which the paintings of ranches, palafittes and the chontaduro harvest activity, very common in the region, can be highlighted.
Throughout his career he has experimented with various techniques, and finds in oil on canvas greater strength in color and duration of the works, for which he continues his deepening in this technique.
His work has led him to share different collective spaces with Latin American artists, obtaining from each of them a lot of learning and a broader horizon in terms of little explored techniques. In this way he began his search for a style that would provide greater body and strength to his works. All this comes together in his dripping and spatula technique with which he has worked for three years, discovering new elements every day that blend very well with it.
