Nearly 70 international artists

Peinture fraiche (Wet Parinting) returns every year to Halle Debourg in Lyon (France) with a new idea. This 4th edition brings together nearly 70 artists, both street artists and DJs, from all over the world. And because street art is a reflection of our times, there are a lot of new technologies and themes like femininity, gender issues and music. More than 50,000 people came last year. Here are some clues to help you find it. To celebrate urban art in all its forms, the work of DJs, tattoo artists and street artists is presented together. They come from all over the world, including Lyon, and will spend most of the 4 weeks of the festival there. We loved Colombian Toxicomano's Voltaire, Englishman David Speed's neon painting, Italian Cibo's tribute to gastronomy (who covers Nazi tags with cakes), Atomik Nation's urban music boxes (Paris), the pioneer Lokiss, the aphorisms of the Typist, the trompe-l'oeil masks of Kashink, the dog Nourf Nourf of Pimax, or even the scenography has been modified, and there are now separate rooms where events and workshops. Just like the first year, the basement is also on the tour itinerary.

Omnipresent new technologies

The visitor will see many new technologies, but they are not mandatory: augmented reality to see the works in a different way, an application to look at the works of previous editions, discover the universes, and even give advice to artists ( a world first, according to the graffiti artist who is the artistic director of the exhibition, Cart1), tips for using your phone, etc. This year, you can even buy your collector's pass in NFT (digital property certificates popular in the art world, which entitle you to different levels of rarity, etc.) Thanks to this technology, artists can make their works longer and earn more money.

An interactive festival

During the festival, people will be able to meet artists and participate in workshops (and also in the exhibition itself, with works that invite you to pick up a guitar or to do graffiti via an arcade machine). What do you think about this ? Graffiti on tablets, graffiti machines, light graff (in the light), water light (water and light), and even painting in the metaverse! Video games, screen printing, carpet making, customization, free expression wall, livepainting... Graffiti artists like Omarker, Krap Crap, Ponce, etc. will also be present to make flash tattoos.

In the evening the place turns into a real disco

You can go to Peinture fraiche on a musical background with DJs from Lyon on Friday and Saturday evenings (bar and snack bar on site). Something different (at normal price). A few names? Maelita, Neskeh, Julio, Bernadette, Selected dream memories, Sarmiento, Will.8, The Ackee, Unit Soeurs, or Kalouf.
