Né en 1961, Pascal Clus découvre très tôt la joie que procure le dessin et la peinture.
S'initiant au crayon, puis à l'aquarelle, il s'essaie en autodidacte à la technique de l'huile
qui permet une grande liberté d'expression. Débutant par les pinceaux, il les a aujourd'hui
abandonnés pour ne plus peindre qu'avec son seul couteau, ce qui lui donne
un style et une facture bien personnels.
Il puise son inspiration dans les paysages de France découverts au gré de ses voyages,
avec une prédilection pour les chaudes couleurs de la Provence.
Adepte de la peinture sur le motif, il participe à de nombreux concours en plein air,
occasionnant de belles rencontres avec le public.
Tel les premiers impressionnistes, ce qui compte avant toute chose pour lui est d'observer,
de tenter de retranscrire les vibrations de la lumière sur la toile, faire chanter les couleurs de la
nature de la pointe de son couteau.
