About the author
Née en 1942 au cours de la seconde guerre mondiale à La Calle, petit port de l'est Algérien, mon enfance à été marquée très tôt par la disparition de ma mère et de nombreux hébergements chez mes grands parents ou oncles et tantes. A cette époque, je trouvais refuge dans le dessin. Ma vie s'est stabilisée à partir de dix ans, lors du remariage de mon père. Ma scolarité s'est ensuite déroulée sans le moindre problème jusqu'à l'obtention de mes diplômes.
Ma vie active commence alors : j'envisageais d'être dessinatrice de mode, mais les aléas de l'époque m'ont fait entrer dans l'enseignement et j'ai donc exercé ce noble métier avec beaucoup de passion jusqu'à ma retraite, intervenue en 1997.
Mon penchant pour le dessin m'a alors reprise et, en parfaite autodidacte, j'ai commencé à réaliser des tableaux à la gouache que j'offrais à mon entourage. Mais c'est l'aquarelle qui m'intéressait et j'ai donc rejoint l'association Brévi'art qui proposait des cours dans ce domaine. Depuis, les cours dispensés par le professeur de l'association, m'ont permis de m'améliorer, de mieux maîtriser cette forme d'art et mes premières expositions sont arrivées. Aujourd'hui, régulièrement, plusieurs fois par an, mes oeuvres sont présentées au public et j'en éprouve une joie certaine, voire une certaine fièreté.
