The mortar I used, the contemporary world calls "polished concrete", is made from lime, marble dust, ash or silica. My colors are natural pigments mixed with water. Under the effect of water, the process of "carbonation" lime (or simply when the mortar takes before drying), definitely sets the pigments in the material and it's this technique that, like Lascaux or frescoes of antiquity, perpetuates the work. Most often applied directly on the walls, I now adapts this technique on simple wooden panels.

At the risk of destroying the formal balance of the figure, the accident and chance are also technical, because I want to reveal the matter as the subject or drawing.
