About the author
Renzo Campoverde es peruano, arquitecto de profesión y pintor contemporáneo, siendo alumno de la facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad Ricardo Palma en Lima-Perú, tuvo la suerte de recibir el curso de escultura para arquitectos y aprender el proceso para modelar volumetrías en arcilla, hacer el molde en yeso y culminar la obra con vaciados de marmolina y cemento. Sus obras como estudiante tuvieron participación en diversas exposiciones culturales en Lima.
Como arquitecto le apasiona permanecer involucrado en el proyecto de construcción hasta que la obra culmine. Su preferencia es la arquitectura minimalista.
Practicó pintura en los talleres de la Escuela de Arte Corriente Alterna en Lima, sus primeros trabajos al óleo sobre lienzo fueron realizados en 1999 y para el año 2000 resaltaría la influencia de Vincent van Gogh y otros artistas en sus trabajos, con pinceladas ondulantes mezclado con el trazo firme de la espátula más el uso de múltiples capas, raspados y hasta el re-inicio del lienzo.
Las obras “Bodegón” (161x50cm); “Apache” (162x65cm) y “tres ventanas” (240x100cm) este último adquirido por el restaurante Astrid & Gastón marcarían el camino a recorrer.
Incursiona realizando dibujos a pincel con tinta china sobre cartulina canson, después de una fructífera visita a la feria de arte vivo en Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, Staten Island, NY.
Manifiesta que cada etapa transitada ha sido muy enriquecedora para el proceso espontáneo de creación que hasta hoy lo motiva y reta.
