Salvador Moreno, born in Cádiz in Spain on June 27, 1943, is a renowned painter and draftsman, living and working in Switzerland since 1993. His atypical career began with a career as a professional footballer at FC Cádiz, but a domestic accident at The age of 29 led him to discover his passion for painting.

His first steps in art were marked by the creation of a man seen from behind in 1974. Through his first works, notably still lifes and attempts at paintings in action, he sought a method of creation which would offer him both infinite freedom and a deep connection with his web. His visit to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao was decisive: there he discovered the works of Kandinsky, Miró, Picasso, Chagall, Tanguy, Braque and Duchamp, who would become his major influences.

Faced with the crisis of the 1980s, Salvador Moreno emigrated to Switzerland and found a job in an EMS in the Lake Geneva region, where he continued to paint while achieving human fulfillment in the social field. In 1998, a burn-out linked to his great sensitivity affected him deeply, but his encounter with the work of Maurice Zundel pushed him to artistic and theological reflection on human nature, marking a decisive turning point in his career.

Always concerned about the harmony between humans and nature, he regularly exhibits and donated one of his works in 2002 to a traveling association dedicated to the preservation of wildlife in Africa, India and various islands of the oceans. His talent is recognized internationally, and in 2003, he won the first prize for oil painting from the Académie Internationale de Lutèce in Paris.

Today, Salvador Moreno continues to explore and create with varied mediums such as oil on linen, marker on paper, ink on paper and pastel on paper. His style, influenced by the masters of surrealism and cubism, such as Miró, Picasso and Kandinsky, is characterized by a unique expression combining abstraction and figuration, reflecting his deep introspections on life and nature.
