About the author
VALY artist name , MIREILLE TAUPIN was born in Occitanie, her father's country, not far from Toulouse. A feu years later, she will come to live in le BERRY , where she still lives today, a place not far from GEORGE SAND's house , in an area of legends and sorcerers the writer mentions in her novels.
VALY inherits all the artistic talents of her father, an actor , a humoristic drawer with Parisian and local news papers, an employee with the news paper "La dépêche du midi ", he illustrates its headlines with amusing drawings , under the pen name of JEAN COLIN.
The precious heritage will give him a lot of satisfaction all along these years.
Life goes on, once in le Berry, she spends her youth, gets married, has 3 childrens , she has not really time to paint. In 1985 she joins a club of painting. She paints oil figurative and then exhibitions and rewards begin.
In 1997 she is asked to give lessons to adults. She will be present during 20 years. But in 2017 an accident deprives her of the use of an eye, an ordeal for a painter. She decides to leave the club and work alone. She takes fresh heart and launches an abstract and acrylic art and takes a lot of pleasure in it .Canvases pile on one another and at last, she decides to sell her work and maybe to be listed, which is done.
This artistic carcer of 40 years has often been knocked about by the vagaries of life, as for a lot of people , but when one is fond of waht he she is doing, one mustn't give up.
She likes to quote the sentence of an impressionnist painter AUGUSTE RENOIR,
"It only takes me a feu minutes, to make my drawing, but it took me 60 years to be where I am today"
