About the author
I was born in 1934. Since college age I have always drawn in a desire to communicate with the desire to do better than what I had as a model ... useful claim to surpass myself. I first reproduced according to photos of portraits of artists of my time in pencil or ballpoint pen. Not to exhibit but to furnish my leisure. Then I moved on to oil painting on canvas or any medium...To be able to pay for my supplies I "practiced" so-called "food" painting: reproductions of all kinds, postcards, landscapes of my region, even going as far as copying master paintings (ex: MILLET's gleaners, FRAGONNARD's reader, RENOIR's cake mill, LHERMITE's harvesters' pay...) Being a teacher by profession, I don't I sold my works only to invest in the material but at all times I kept the paintings which I considered to be my "personal production". My last public exhibition in Nîmes dates from 1990, and today I would like to highlight and possibly sell the hundred works that I keep.....I mainly focused on topical subjects, having a scope " universal".Ex: smoking, ecology, human relations, derision....
My guestbook is my best advocate.
