Marie-Claude RAMAIN-LECHIPRE was born in 1949 in the heart of Brenne, where the fog-shrouded light of autumn mornings on the ponds very early on awakened her sense of color.
It was quite naturally towards studying Natural Sciences that she turned after a scientific baccalaureate obtained in Tours. Drawing and painting are not an activity in themselves for her, but rather a plus, which she does not think about perfecting throughout her training.
Italy, another all-consuming passion, led her to a doctorate obtained at the Sorbonne; she will no longer be able to do without its light, its colors, its poetry and its fantasy. (the sites in my name on Google correspond to works "made for pleasure")
The illness, which stops her work as an SVT teacher on several occasions, brings its share of pain and discomfort that only powerful analgesics calm more or less.
Unfortunately the doses must be quickly increased, with restrictive side effects; this is where painting, first with acrylic and oil and then with pastel, allows the mind to escape and better control the body.
Hands in pastel, the artist is mistress of her thoughts, her body relaxed by the warmth of the colors which mix under her fingers.
