« Des vaches vites... ou comment le train voit passer les vaches » (résumé du projet).
Le projet « Des vaches vites... ou comment le train voit passer les vaches » est le produit d'une
réflexion esthétique portant sur la représentation. Il a été conçu en Franche Comté, région d'origine de la vache dite de « race montbéliarde ».
Il s'agit de construire, dans une économie minimale (détournement de la pièce de puzzle), un dispositif de manifestation fictionnelle (impression de vache) où le principe de similitude n'oblitère en rien l'artifice. Un dispositif où l'image affirme, dans sa manifestation même, sa fragilité. Le jeu entre l'image, son procédé et son modèle présumé, cette visibilité de vache ainsi que son extinction ne peuvent être induites que par le mouvement de l'observateur. C'est pourquoi ce projet est destiné à une application directe aux trains et en particulier aux trains à grande vitesse.
Ces « vaches vites...» sont une invitation, pour celui qui passe, aux vertus de la lenteur. Elles lui
proposent de sortir de l'hypnose, provoquée par la vitesse liée à l'objectif de la destination, qui fait du trajet un non-lieu. Elles peuvent lui permettre, par l'ouverture du champ de vision, à un regard, un point de vue, voire une position esthétique. Car au delà du présent propos, la question est, bel et bien, celle du regard, de la visibilité des choses et de leurs images.
