Robert Esnay

Originally from ALGIERS, where I took courses in the fine arts of this city for some time, particularly the technique of charcoal drawing.
I have lived in this beautiful department of VAR, in La Seyne sur mer for more than 40 years. Here the sun is almost always there and the light is everywhere, on the sea, on the woods,... I worked in oil for a very long time but for the past five years, after visiting exhibitions of renowned pastellists, I have discovered a passion for pastel, because you can work on a subject with emotion, without stopping and finish it during the day.
This is why you will discover on my site, many of my pastels, the ones that I prefer the most.
