Isambert DURIVEAU
Marqueur de pierres
Isambert DURIVEAU est né au beau milieu du siècle dernier dans la commune de Saint-Pierre, au pied de la Montagne Pelée. Son enfance s’est déroulée dans les campagnes du Morne-Vert. Si des études de mathématiques l’ont conduit vers l’enseignement, sa grande sensibilité l’a conduit vers l’art. Musicien, dessinateur, sculpteur, il a d’abord travaillé le bois, le bambou , la calebasse pour s’arrêter à la pierre. Entre ses mains, les roches volcaniques de la Montagne Pelée et des Pitons du Morne-Vert se transforment en œuvres d’art.
