Hotel studies and ten years spent in Paris initially took him away from his favorite hobby: photography.
Monotony and routine push him to experiment with something else: he goes on an adventure to the United States. This first step allows him to acquire a real camera and then to travel several months in Central America. On the spot, the unexpected meeting of a reporter photographer gives him the desire to deepen this passion.
Back in Paris, Valéry frequented exhibitions and museums, reading books and magazines to awaken to this art. He practiced by photographing scenes of life and monuments of the capital before leaving it definitively in 1999 for Cayenne, in French Guiana. He remained there for 4 years. Publishing of postcards and carnival reports, nature and heritage photographs for local institutions, he then took his first steps in the profession.
Professional since 2000, his activity is divided today between illustrative photographs distributed by several agencies for magazine press, institutional, communication and publishing, art photography in limited edition.
