Nevruz Erken

Nevruz has been known as an artist of visual depth, strong colors and symbolic imagination. Her works through her career have awoken deep feelings to the viewers and art lovers. Her main themes are including Nature, Births of new dawns within life and also darkening voids of death, life giving feelings of love and beauty and so on. Her most works are done oil on canvas.

Her main technique is using oil paints on canvas. Also being an instructor in her private studio she teaches water based painting styles, sketching, hand drawing techniques etc. She has been also experimenting in different forms of art through her career such as sculpture.

Born in Pinarbasi/Kayseri, Turkey
in 1957, Nevruz Turan graduated from
the Painting Department of the
İstanbul State Fine Arts Academy and
completed the Painting Seminar of
Salzburg Summer School in Austria.



Nevruz Turan has held more than
twenty solo exhibitions in Turkey and
Paris Art Fair, Osaka Art Bİennial,
Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hungary,
Abhazya, Gabarday-Bolkar.



Some of her paintings are in many
special and official collections
including Vakifbank, Akbank, Ak
Insurance, SSK(Social Security
Society) and SHCEK(Social Services
Society for the Protection of
Children).



The artist who has previously
worked as the manager of the Culture
Center of SHCEK, is now the Art
Adviser of the Cankaya Municipality
Cagdas Arts Center and she is also
working in her private studio in
Ankara.
