LA OBRA / THE PIECE
Cualquier punto donde miremos de la obra proyecta una tensión. La tensión de los pies, perspectiva inferior, los enraíza con la tierra que los crio hasta el punto de esclavizarse con su propio recurso. La tensión de las cabezas y manos, perspectiva superior, infinitas expresiones, aquellas que incansablemente intentan llegar a nuestros ciegos ojos y a nuestros oídos sordos que necesitan una existencia justa. Con toda la intención, la perspectiva produce un efecto desfocado de la verdadera atención que debemos prestar. Ellos claman a ojos más transparentes, manos más honestas y oídos más sinceros.

From whatever viewpoint, the piece exudes tension. The tension in the feet, the lower perspective, is the tension that binds them to the land that nurtured them to the point of enslaving them with its own resources. The tension in the heads and hands, the upper perspective, is an infinite gesture that tirelessly attempts to reach our blind eyes and deaf ears in search of a just existence. The overall perspective produces a deliberately distorted representation of the consideration we should be showing towards them. They clamour for more transparent eyes, more forthright hands and more earnest ears.

Instalación: refleja la interacción de universos. El mundo evolutivo, fantástico y paradójico. Se crea un estado de "lo imposible" dentro de "lo posible". La contradicción en sí misma.
Se quiere demostrar la necesidad inherente de un ser de adaptarse a un medio en constante cambio, traspasando los límites de la "normalidad" mediante la transformación y transmutación de su propia materia y energía, llegando a ser una esencia paradójicamente adaptable mediante dos elementos universales: agua-aire.

An installation that reflects the interaction between universes, an evolutionary, fantastical, paradoxical world. A state of “impossible” is created within “the possible” – a contradiction in itself.
The idea was to demonstrate a being’s inherent need to adapt to an ever-changing environment, overstepping the limits of “normality” via the transformation and transmutation of its own matter and energy, evolving into a paradoxically adaptable being through the combination of two universal elements, water and air.

Moments of our lives in which our horses, the guardians of our impulses and our emotions, confront each other. Which of them shall we follow? With which of them shall we commit our undertaking? Sometimes it sounds like the end of the world. Other times we just recover our strength and get on with it.

María Eugenia Piacentini Veron is a contemporary Argentinian sculptor who has been passionately immersed in the world of sculpture since the tender age of 8. From those early beginnings, she embarked on a journey of artistic exploration that would define her unique style.
