Artur Pashkov
Artur Pashkov aspires to be a successful artist who reaches his audience by expressing his feelings and emotions through his work. He's daring enough to show his Art, no matter how dramatic it is. Artur’s goal is to show that abstract Art can beautiful in terms of color shape and perspective. Artur strives to be true to his feelings and emotions, not accommodating himself or his work to societal standards that go against his very nature.
It's not easy for Artur to describe his creativity, because it's a process that he's not fully aware of. His visions are like dreams, and are not easily understood or explained. In his paintings you can see bright spots surrounded by fogy or liquid substances. Every time he takes a brush in hand, his visions are coming from nowhere, and he does not know where they will take him. Some of Artur's paintings appear to come from another world, crazy and even scary.
Often, Artur cannot control his emotions and his creative energy flows unfettered as he paints from the evening through the next morning. Artur usually paints at night when he can concentrate on his visions, isolating himself from outside world. It's the time when he creates his own world of color and paint where he becomes the ruler and the creator.
Artur has sold many paintings to private collectors and friends in Moscow, London, Stockholm, New York, and Los Angeles as well as many other cities.

"Dreamscape" Artur Pashkov has painted the twin towers as a spiritual symbol, existing somewhere in a creamy, rosy pink, peach sunset soaked beautiful other worldly imagined place. Here the twin towers exist in some final divine resting place. They seem to be safe and cared for, a concrete representation of what is wished and dreamed of for those who are no longer with us.
Gay Erotic Art and a Good Cause, Too
Ah, Sunday afternoons in the Big Apple. For many New Yorkers, they pretty much mean one thing: brunch. But let's face it, there is more to this putative day of rest than Eggs Benedict and Bloody Marys. There is gay art, for example -- lots of it too, if you know where to look. The place to scout for it this Sunday is at The Painted Boy Gay Art Fair, taking place on the entire third floor of New York's renowned LGBT Center on West 13th Street. The show features more than 5,000 "unambiguously gay" artworks from a select group of emerging and established international artists, such as Russian-born Artur Pashkov (pictured). Part of the proceeds will benefit the LGBT Community Center.
According to the fair's organizers, the works on display (and for sale) range in expression from a "whisper of magnetic charm" to a "hurricane of raw sensuality." Are you taking notes, Adam Lambert?
Admission is $20, but you get $5 off by printing out this coupon. The Painted Boy Gay Art Fair at the LGBT Center, 208 W. 13th St. (between Eighth/Nine aves), Nov. 28 noon-7PM and Nov. 29 noon-6PM. Tel. 212-620-7310
