Biography
My name is Elvira Basic . I was born as an artist with all my heart .
Every my painting is a unique experience and travel to a wonderful and unlimited world of colours ..and every single of them is a little part of my life ...my happiness, sadness and feelings.
I have never liked to sell pictures .. because it means.. that I am giving myself right to the unknown On the other hand, my paintings somehow found their way to Great Britain, Portugal, Switzerland, America, Italy, Germany, Holland ... When someone buy my painting..I am feeling sad and abandoned. Honestly I am hating mass production of images and I appreciate only the uniqueness. Long time ago I was making drawings, and now abstract oil paintings only.
New white canavas is the only peace of world where I can do whatever I want !

My name is Elvira Basic . I was born in Split which is in Croatia ...one of the oldest ( 1700 yrs ) and for sure the most beautiful town on the Adriatic coast , built by the Romans . Split is UNESCO -town , full of historical monuments and where you can really feel artistic spirit wherever you go . Is it so strange than ...that I was an artist with all my heart .
I am a member of art association ...I took a part on many different exibitions...I was working on many different projects ( paintings for a hotel , hospital , villas , galleries abroad ) Each painting is unique my technique is also unique ,and one can never find any similar artwork .All my artworks are oil paintings .
I am not doing many paintings ...I am working only when I really have an inspiration , and each painting is little part of my life ...I am not doing that for money ...I am doing that because I have to do that , it's just my destiny .
