''Between the Lines'':
Between monochromic researches, cubistic haunting visions of her life journal, abstractions and inspirations from her China ink works. There is also an intentional naive approach of the artist in a sophisticated society, rejecting conventional expertise in the representation or depiction of real objects, especially the way she paints the characters she has met along her life path. She relates to her paintings as her life experiences, with events, people, landscapes, dramas. A transitional world in which she reflects and explores.

Elodie was born in 1975 in the French Alps of Grenoble, her roots are shared between France and Poland. Due to her dad's profession they moved regularly and went to Germany, where Elodie kept a strong memory of her own experience of the Fall of the Berlin wall in 1989. Since her early years Elodie demonstrated a strong interest in arts and kept copying ancient art masters, from whom, according her, she took the best art drawing and painting lessons.

At 19 years old Elodie studied Art History and Archaeology at the Louvre School in Paris, and also worked on archaeology diggings at the European Research Centre in Mont Beuvray (Burgundy, France). She spent 4 years at the Louvre School thanks to which she acquiered knowledge in art theories, art collections, creation techniques, iconography, the birth of religions and spiritualities and how those are expressed through art, history and archeology. Her background in archeology explains her fascination of prehistory, history, and ancient civilisations. In parallel of her courses, she spent hours training her eye and her hand by studying and copying ancient masters and sculptures of the Parisian Museums. All those references surrounded her and inspired her to create and follow her own path. She says that when she is in France she feels her difference, while her travels brings her back to her French and strong Silesian roots.
