Durham painter talks art, life and pampered pooches

The Town Times posted an article on April 19, 2013 by Diana Carr on Terry and her use of art as a meditation.  The photo shows Murphy Bourret the amazing therapy dog who died  suddenly a few weeks later at 6 years old due to pesticide use by a neighbor , who has since moved.  Beagles and Terriors are at very high risk of getting lymphoma from lawn care products because they sniff a lot and have a predispositon along with Goldens and many other breeds.  The loss of Murphy has been devastating.  He was a loving and joyful dog who lead us to do lots of things because he got such joy when he saw people.  His greetings to art students who came for lessons were remarkable. He loved children and was going to be working with an autistic child the day he was put down.   A campaign against misuse of chemicals has been waged by Terry and Don.  If you google:  Murphy Bourret and then open "Beware of the little flags on the Grass" you will see an amazing response.  Make a comment and be a part of change so that Murphy's death can make a difference and save other children and dogs from this dangerous practice.  Find out about how to take care of your lawn organically. Find out all the risks that these chemicals wage on the environment and your loved ones.  Thank you.
