Nathalie Sorroche est une artiste peintre française résidant dans un village du sud de la France. Après avoir expérimenté différentes techniques comme la peinture à l’huile, l’acrylique, l’aquarelle et la gravure depuis trente ans, elle privilégie aujourd’hui la peinture à l’huile sur bois. Elle travaille avec des modèles. Ses sujets favoris sont les nus et les portraits, dans la perspective d’opposer simplification des corps et détails des décors. Ce contraste se prolonge par l’emploi de couleurs opaques et l’utilisation de nuances chatoyantes sur les drapés. Par la superposition de glacis, ses œuvres proposent un étonnement ressenti par l’artiste qu’elle aimerait faire partager, comme le plaisir qu’elle éprouve à dessiner et peindre. On peut percevoir à travers ses tableaux l’influence de Klimt, de Schiele, Bonnard, Degas et Toulouse Lautrec.
