"EXPOsition de PiNAS" an International Art Exhibition Cordially Invites you to its Opening reception at the City’s Museo Dabawenyo on Friday 16th of December 2011, at 3:00-6:00 Pm. Onwards. With exhibition dates that runs until January 2012. The Bahaghari Gallery is open from Monday to Saturday with Museum hours: 9AM-12PM & 1PM-6Pm. It is F R E E A D M I S S I O N S to the public. Museo Dabawenyo is located along Magallanes St., right at the the back of the Sangguniang Panglungsod Building.

Exposition de Pinas is a group International art exhibition that endeavours to produce innovative collaborations between emerging contemporary artists with exclusive representation from different countries in America, Canada, New England, France, Spain, Italy, India and the Philippines. In this large presentation of so diversified artworks, print reproductions from the individual original artworks takes a place more and more significantly. The historic hall of “Museo Dabawenyo” which situated in the Durian City of Southern Philippines offers an environment adapted to the diverse creations and styles that the exhibit organizers like to put in the International art scene.

A succeeding combination between painting, art objects and photographic prints give the visitors an exciting overview about modern creations, amplified through the possibility of personal exchanges with the present artists. This historic foundry hall of the Davao City’s Museum of the People, is the ideal frame to host for the first time in this type of International art presentation and inter-cultural exchanges. Living in a contemporary society that is culturally diverse and rapidly changing means it is important that the Arts of these contemporary societies embrace and reflect these changes.

This exhibition project hope to demonstrate the strength of collective voices in deciding the future of neighbourhoods, cities, nations, and societies and the importance of intimate conversations and compassionate social interactions.

EXPOsition de PiNAS is an International Art Exhibition dedicated to increasing a cross-cultural understanding and exposure to the arts internationally. It showcases the individual innovative approaches and styles of every Artists' in representing their respective countries of origin, responding to the needs of the international arts communities. It also develops and circulates fine art exhibitions through a wider scope of audiences from a small and bigger institutions like the exhibit host “ Museo Dabawenyo” in the Philippines. This exhibition will cover a broad and dynamic range of art and cultural concepts from both international artists. Additionally compiling works from a significant genres, artistic identities and art movements world-wide.

"PINAS" is a commune of the Hautes-Pyrénées `département` in southwestern France. Pinas is also a popular term used in the Philippines, a short version of the Tagalog word Pilipinas. As a slang term, it refers to or about the Philippines.

EXPOsition de PiNAS is an organized public affair, a display of industrial and artistic productions, designed usually to promote trade and to reflect cultural progress. Expositions have also been important for the emphasis on scientific, technological innovations and modern techniques in the visual art making.

On exhibit are Print reproductions from the Original artworks of different participating International Contemporary Artists.
