Cerdan
If we get to know an artist directly descended from a master, Marcel Cerdan, world champion of boxing, who left an indelible mark, we would recognize the qualities which make these human been special.
Pascale Cerdan assumes very well the following contradiction : an hypersensitivity and a ferocious will to exercise her art with pugnacity. How to talk about Pascale's qualities without sycophancy? Simply by examining her journey.
Her desire to paint manifested itself at a young age, and her dad allowed her to start her first serious sketches by buying her first tools : canvas, easel, paint and brushes during a visit to Bordeaux.
And that's the start of her career that we hope will be long and recognized.
Her obstinacy manifests itself in the quest to search for the aesthetic that she wants to give to her artworks...moving from oil paint to acrylic with joy.
Her style developed slowly but surely as she describes it, it is an abstract narrative.
Pascale Cerdan expresses abstract art but offers her emotions to those who witness her creations. it is possible that her inspirations and masters, Chagall, Matisse and Picasso, had an influence on her work, in the details. The preferred colors are yellow which allows a passage to orange, and the blue for its luminosity.
Another emotion that Pascale reserves for us is the ability to white out a canvas almost finished at the moment where the inquisitive and discontented eye condemns the hand of the artist, to start again becomes a virtue. Inherent in this behavior is a small contradiction ; she proposes the beginning of a work and leaves us the choice to finish it virtually with our sensitivity.
There is her conception of art all the nobility of an artist who tells us :"I love this painting...let's share it!".

To paint...
To paint has always been for me a way to tell and to express my vision of existence of life...to move forward in life.
Painting is like a book I started twenty years ago and I still continue with my days. Words are the color and lines my feelings. If I choose abstract art...in fact, I do not believe I choose but mostly the abstract choose me and guided me toward what I am today, it's because I like to know that I can paint free color!
There is no shame, no barriers, everything is possible!
It's in this immensity of the possible that I draw my creativity. As a breath or an heart beat, my hands are guides by the beauty of things, people and the feelings of life. I don't try to imitate the beauty of a flower for example but to give it a new aesthetic value, by incorporated a line and a color from different direction. Everything is fascinating to invent a new composition.
It is to be hope that my canvas will give to the public this new direction. For me to paint is to offer something new, mysterious because thought this approach I am able to go forward into my creativity.
I draw my inspiration in what I don't see. The unknown attracts me and guides me.
I wish to give to the public the possibility to enter my canvas and to let i decide to invent a story...it's story, mine, the one of life which surrounding us.
My art is a piece of this book wilde open for you which will close on one day when the impossible will exist.
My biggest satisfaction will reflect thus of what is not but what will become...
