The simplification of the human figure, reaching the limit of deformation, and the fluidity of color as a form of expression. Bento Moura frees himself from the realistic spatiality of the image and unleashes his temptations through strong colors juxtaposed with balance. We can say, from observing his work, that the line fulfills a fundamental function, one can notice the formal simplicity and the search for the configuration of a space with specific singularities. The artist seeks to escape classical three-dimensionality through total compositional freedom in the lines of the figures, which begin to coexist with the background, without three-dimensional differentiation, in a clear contemporary understanding of space. We see the human figure isolated in its two-dimensionality radically simplified by its silhouette. The artist gives rise to a reflection on the line in its function of limiting and creating organic form. The shapes are structured in a harmonic balance, both by the composition of the background that activates the movement of the figure and by the figure itself, in its form, lending movement. Bento Moura's gestural freedom seeks to reach the speed of his thought, as if the figure were the annotation of an idea that was on the verge of escaping.
