Amy Zausmer has been working on more paintings in the Silhouette series and she also has been working on the black and white drawing charcoal on paper series of the The faces of Papuan children. On The faces of Papua Children series, she inspires by her recent trip to Raja Ampat and trekking in the Baliem Valley, Papua, Indonesia.

Amy "ah-mee" Zausmer is a world traveler. She was born on Java, Indonesia and she grew up on Sumatra.

Her paintings reveal her passion for diverse cultures, animals, beliefs, landscapes and sea creatures. She is influenced by the brushwork of Monet and Renoir as well as by old black and white photographs. She admires their beautiful compositions and sense of quite peace.

Amy moved to Aspen, Colorado in 2000 and studied art at Colorado Mountain Collage. Her work has been displayed at galleries in the Aspen area.
