On-Line Auction to Celebrate International Women's Day!!
In support and honor of South Asian women who are survivors of violence, Re-Drawing Resistance hosted an on-line auction from March 3rd through March 10th 2010, of artworks by survivors and their artist allies. Six artworks were donated by Re-Drawing Resistance artist ally and supporter Aisoorya Vijayakumar. Five art works were sold.
100% of the proceeds from this auction went for support of the Re-Drawing Resistance project which uses art as a medium for women to illustrate their resilience and is working with a coalition of over 200 organization to pass the International Violence Against Women Act (I-VAWA).
