Ancient Dreams (2014) Peinture par Aeon

"Ancient Dreams" is the story about a fabulously mystical and advanced civilization that was swept into the sea to be lost forever. The piece possessed with intense color and dream-like state pushes down to the mysterious level, while entrancing scape inhabits mirage structures. It is a point of departure for thought into who and what ancients had could be. This piece I have started with no preconceived notion of where the process will go. There is something magical about spontaneous painting, as I only have a certain amount of control over what is out - the rest is serendipity. I build up layers using various techniques with large windows in each so that the final image is a kind of collage of textures.

✔ The painting is signed on the front and back. It is on a gallery-wrapped canvas with finished black edges and comes ready to hang. "Ancient Dreams" was conceived and completed by the end of autumn 2014 at the Otherworldly Dream Studio, Jerusalem.

About a series "Second Silence":
As with the first series, Second Silence is closely connected to the Man in Nature. It is denser and less muted in color than First Silence but still maintains the hypnotic dream-like quality of the passages in previous works have. The scenery is evocatively atmospheric, melancholic, but in the right way. Through the conditions of a limited form, attention can switch from the natural landscape and direct perception to our own, artificially created objects. If the mass pop culture begins to encroach on your spirit, but you tend toward symbolism, silence, mystical wanderings, then this is for you.

Art is the unique energy through which I live.
"I think there is something that makes every artist special. We do not come to this world completely blanked. We have been "programmed" and possessed knowledge and ideas before we took this mortal shape. Sometimes, these "notions of preexisting ideas" call us. Then the heart must follow the horizon's point and follow this magnetic pull and drive towards beyond. It what's makes me alive and is a constant impetus for my life."

About the artist:
Alexey Adonin explores the point of convergence between abstraction and surrealism to create a channel of communication between his inner world and the viewers, not only to share his personal vision but also and especially to invite viewers to elaborate their personal interpretations and narratives, establishing deep involvement both in the emotional aspect and in the intellectual one.
