Note : peinture acrylique originale sur papier dessin extra-fort à grain Carte d’Art 340g de Sennelier (D340).

"Harmonic pictorial variations between stasis and flows constituting the aesthetic moment by means of small dissensual but no less structuring perceptual leaps in a freakishly unusual post-contemporary perspective." (Full title)

Acrylic painting on paper by French artist painter Eric Bourdon, varnished work.

Eric Bourdon's painting on paper propagates towards the soul of the esthete continuous waves of potential information which, until the conclusion of his observation, boil down to trains of action potentials, fluctuations of post-contemporary pictorial perceptions and releases of molecules in the synaptic clefts of the aforesaid.

In the aesthetic experience, a dissensual fabric of pictorial variations is formed which changes the modes of enunciation, the frames, scales or rhythms of the visible, the audible and the representable. Contemplating a painting or a landscape, listening to a piece of music, immersing oneself in a sound universe, reading a poem, watching a film : such is the harmonic aesthetic experience. However, in each human culture, it is of all the commonly lived experiences both the most banal and the most singular. The aesthetic experience can undoubtedly be fragmented, dissonant, disturbed or incomplete. This type of experience, while neither coherent nor complete, at least manifests the integrity of a detachment as a distinctly singular experience as opposed to the flow of ordinary experience.

Note : original acrylic painting on extra strong drawing paper with grain Carte d'Art 340g by Sennelier (D340). The 20x20cm square of paper is glued to a piece of quality cardboard of the same dimensions. Total thickness : 3mm.

Eric Bourdon is a contemporary award-winning French painter. Bourdon's works have in common vivid colors and unpremeditated pencil strokes, expressive of raw enthusiasm in the art brut or Outsider Art manner. In an era concerned with control, certainty, and security, Bourdon describes his artistic technique as spotlighting the creative richness of chance and accident.

Eric Bourdon was born in 1979, in Lille, France. His paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, Belgium, England, and China. In addition, his art has been featured in publications such as La Voix du Nord, Var-Matin, JaamZIN Creative Magazine, etc.
