I am currently using half a garage in my Shoreline home as a primary workspace. The studios available at school have also become helpfull environments to work but lack the comfort of a personalized workshop.

I have an underlying formalists drive which enjoys the mysterious satisfaction gained in creating something visually balanced. Often I am interested in the paint itself as a subject, relying on the manipulation of its conditions to obtain various textural and color-based atmospheric reactions. My work is the result of a solitary nature. It is anti-expressive in that sense. It is down time. It is an emotionally thereputic meditative practice that I have found useful in my life.

I usually use charcoal as my medium, sometimes pastel. I draw for fun. But I'm trying to sell some pics because I will be attending WWU in the fall and I already have a budget like a poor college student.
