J'ai débuté en 1971, par la photographie en noir et blanc.
Déjà, à cette époque, mon attention était tournée vers l'autre, demeurant fasciné par les inconnus qui m'entouraient.
Les approchant assez timidement, je me contentais alors de les photographier.
Par la suite je me suis amusé à placer les gens dans des situations préalablement provoquées, tout en captant leurs réactions sur la pellicule.
En 1980 j' ai commencé la peinture figurative selon le même principe avec des personnages mis en scène dans des décors choisis.
Curieux, j'ai toujours utilisé des techniques diverses, cela m'a permis de développer différentes écritures pour m'exprimer.
Je travaille toujours à base de pigments que j'agglutine à divers liants. Huile, Tempéra, Pigments humide et sec , Lavis, Encre de chine, Mine de plomb, Sanguine, Linogravure
et depuis 1999 le numérique...
