Antonio Doreste Miranda (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1955), Licenciado en Sociología. De formación autodidacta, mi incursión a la pintura surge en el año 1999, fundamentalmente como un hobby ya que, si bien siempre me gustó pintar, nunca me planteé dedicar parte de mis ratos libres a este envolvente y relajante mundo de la pintura. Inicié esta andadura con el pastel, donde plasmé principalmente marinas de la playa de Las Canteras, lugar donde viví parte de mi niñez. Más adelante realice una leve incursión en la acuarela y posteriormente pasé al óleo, técnica a la que dediqué unos años. En la actualidad trabajo con acrílicos que conjugo con técnicas mixtas y collage.
