Tullio Mesi nasce il 14/11/1966 a Palermo, città dove risiede . La sua formazione umanistica ha sempre influenzato, fin dalla giovane età, il suo interesse per l’arte ed in particolare per la pittura.
Durante un periodo di permanenza a Bologna (1997-2001), inizia la sua “avventura”pittorica, sviluppando la tecnica della pittura ad olio e rappresentando prevalentemente paesaggi. La corrente degli impressionisti, in particolare Renoir, ha inizialmente influenzato la sua pittura, soprattutto per la capacità poetica e la vivacità cromatica proprie di quel movimento. Ma successivamente anche i contemporanei Mirò, Braque e Matisse, hanno suscitato grande interesse per il senso del colore, la capacità espressiva e la spinta surrealista e gli astrattisti americani per la forza simbolica, quindi si nota nel proseguio della sua attività una spiccata tendenza allo sperimentalismo pittorico.Alcune di queste caratteristiche si possono notare in alcune delle sue più recenti opere che rappresentano una realtà “visionaria” e “sognatrice”.
Ha esposto in diverse mostre personali e collettive a: Palermo, Roma, Milano, Ferrara, Cava de Tirreni, Chicago (Usa), Montreux (Svizzera). Imminenti altre mostre in Italia ed all'estero.
Le sue opere sono apprezzate in Italia e all'estero e sono presenti sul catalogo internazionale d'arte moderna MDS ed. n. 11 e 12 e 13, distribuito in Europa e USA e presentato alla camera dei deputati del parlamento italiano.
