Roberto Carlo Degl'Innocenti, Roberto pour ses amis et ses proches, peut se délecter, enfin, des instants où ses pensées prennent forme. Né en 1945 en Italie, une formation cartésienne d’ingénieur l’a comblé professionnellement, mais il s’évade rapidement de cet univers strict au travers de la peinture, de l’écriture et de la photographie. Depuis bientôt 35 ans - ses premières œuvres picturales datent de 1971, suivies des premiers textes – il compose poèmes et proses. Toiles et dessins. Complémentarité. Dualité complice. Indissociables états d’âme. Ses peintures sont des jets, ses écrits, des cris du cœur. Les expositions régionales en Rhône-Alpes, en Île-de-France et dans le Trièves, où il rejoint de temps à autre son ermitage, les livres de poésie et les occupations associatives autour de l’écriture et de l’illustration pour les enfants, occupent désormais ses journées. Ses derniers « coups de gueule » ont donné naissance à des graphes, comme il se plait à les décrire, l’aidant à évacuer ce qui, de son ancien métier, encombrait encore son esprit... Analyse d’une période difficile, où la solitude, l’inconnu, l’absence et l’errance ont marqué ses traits. Abandons et questionnements. Précisions et indécisions. Ecriture graphique saccadée par le rythme impossible de ses rêves contradictoires.
Peintures expressionistes et abstraites, nus et photopeintures suivent cette période féconde d'expression.
