关于作者
Santosh Kumar Sandilya is a renowned contemporary artist based in Varanasi, India. Deeply rooted in the cultural and spiritual heritage of the holy city, his work captures the timeless essence of the Ganga ghats, sages, and sacred rituals through expressive acrylic paintings. A graduate and postgraduate in Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Santosh has dedicated over 30 years to the field of art — as a creator, educator, and cultural advocate.
His unique style blends traditional Indian themes with a modern visual language. One of the most distinctive aspects of his practice is the use of Ganga Jal (holy water) in his artworks, symbolizing purity and devotion. Santosh has exhibited his works widely across India and abroad, participating in national and international exhibitions, art fairs, and workshops.
Currently, he serves as an art teacher under the Government of Uttar Pradesh and is the Secretary of the Banaras Art and Craft Development Society, where he continues to mentor young artists and promote the artistic legacy of Varanasi.
