Je suis une artiste autodidacte. J'ai appris à peindre de manière instinctive, à l'huile, sur toile. Je réalise ainsi mes tableaux alla prima, en peignant d'un seul coup et sans couches successives pour trouver d'emblée la couleur qui me convient.
Je peins depuis longtemps en parallèle de mon travail d'ingénieure et ai décidé d'en faire mon second métier à mi-parcours.
J'aime travailler la couleur, la lumière et voir l'image prendre vie. Je peins à l'huile car c'est une matière que je trouve vivante. Elle me surprend toujours. Les couleurs s'assemblent presque d'elles mêmes et on ne sait pourquoi, soudain, le sujet s'anime, le tableau vous parle, le regard est happé.
Les paysages industriels, les chantiers mais aussi l'architecture et l'urbanisme m'inspirent et font écho à mon expérience professionnelle dans le domaine portuaire. Je cherche par mes peintures à souligner la beauté dans la régularité des lignes dessinées par l'homme.
Par ailleurs je pratique avec passion deux arts martiaux japonais, l'aïkido et l'iaïdo. J'y puise de l'inspiration pour des illustrations sur cette thématique et sur la culture japonaise. Le calme et la concentration nécessaire à ces arts me guident dans ma peinture et son caractère minutieux.
