Firmo mis obras como JLOPEZRED, acrónimo de mi nombre: Jose Luis López Redondo. Nací en Madrid en agosto de 1953, lugar donde vivo actualmente. Soy Capitán de la marina mercante y de joven estuve navegando por casi todo el mundo, de ahí mi afición por la geometría, la cartografía y la naturaleza. Mi formación artística proviene de la asistencia a academias privadas de arte y cursos de formación específicos.
La pintura para mí es junto con la música, de la que también me nutro y me inspiro, una necesidad interior, son dos artes que te provocan, te agitan. Como expuso Kandisky en su libro de “Lo espiritual en el arte”, con cuyo contenido me siento totalmente identificado. Para mí es una necesidad vital y como artista que pretendo ser, necesito que mis obras las vean otros, compartir lo que hago, que me escuchen sin sonido.
Por estos motivos me gusta hacer una pintura que tienda a ser alegre, colorida e incluso decorativa. Sí, digo decorativa, aunque ciertos puristas del arte no la consideren o la desdeñen. Yo pinto para que mis obras cuelguen en casas y por tanto que decoren una pared. Me centro en el color y las formas. Busco la belleza intentando armonizar color y formas mediante el orden y la composición.
El contenido de mis obras siempre tienen un fondo conceptual, interpretando motivos de la naturaleza y las ideas con formas abstracto geométricas.
